My Story
Here’s my backstory. In 1966, I was 12 years old when I first heard about a California artist named Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. Ed was famous for creating Rat Fink, a grotesque, wild-looking rat who drove hot rods. Like many others, I was inspired and began copying Ed’s work by drawing Rat Fink myself.
As I grew older, that passion never faded. Throughout my adult years, I continued drawing cars—especially the ones I saw at local car shows.
In 2018, I visited a friend in Mississippi while attending Cruisin’ the Coast. My friend owns a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, and I took several photos of the car during my visit. When I returned home, I transformed those photos into a cartoon-style illustration of the car. I sent the drawing to my friend, and he absolutely loved it.
That moment made me realize I could use my talent to create custom car and truck drawings for others. And that’s how Curt’s KarToons was born—where you get custom cartoons created from photos of your car or truck. Curt’s KarToons provides personalized, hand-drawn artwork of the vehicles you drive and show with pride.
