My Story
Here is my back story. It is 1966, I am 12 years old, and I hear about an artist in California named Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. Ed is known for his creation "Rat Fink" who is a grotesque looking Rat who drives hot rods. I, like many others I am sure, started copying Ed's work by drawing "Rat Fink". During my adult years, I am still drawing cars that I find at local car shows. In 2018, I visit a friend in Mississippi while attending "Cruisin' the Coast". My friend has a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. I took some photos and when I returned home, I converted the photographs into a cartoon version of the car. Here it is. I sent the drawing to my friend and he loved it.
